Meanwhile, Baba, an elderly historian and the neighborhood’s memory keeper, fights a losing battle to save his community’s historic meeting hall from a powerful real estate developer. Their stories are woven together by Kazeem, a determined investigative journalist who uncovers a thread of corruption connecting Amara’s family to the demolition project.
