Celebration of Freedom

In the vibrant, chaotic heart of modern-day Lagos, three lives intersect during the city’s annual “Celebration of Freedom” festival. Amara, a gifted but stifled classically trained pianist, secretly composes fùjì-infused jazz, a sound that defies her influential family’s rigid expectations. Meanwhile, Baba, an elderly historian and the neighborhood’s memory keeper, fights a losing battle to save his community’s historic meeting hall from a powerful real estate developer. Their stories are woven together by Kazeem, a determined investigative journalist who uncovers a thread of corruption connecting Amara’s family to the demolition project. As the festival reaches its crescendo, each must decide what freedom truly means: the freedom to pursue a passion, to preserve a legacy, or to expose a truth that could shatter the city’s fragile peace.
